Seminar on Intellectual Property and Trademark Protection
"Effective protection of copyright holders' rights in a global market"

In November 2024, IP Choice Law company, with the support of the international organization REACT, held a large-scale seminar on topical issues of intellectual property rights protection and combating counterfeit products in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event brought together representatives of government agencies, leading copyright holders, lawyers and experts in the field of trademark protection. Among the participants are employees of the Departments of State Revenue and justice of various cities and regions of Kazakhstan, as well as international partners and representatives of the private sector.
The seminar covered:
Practical aspects of combating trademark infringement
The role of customs and tax authorities in intellectual property protection
Mechanisms of interaction between the State and copyright holders
REACT's international brand protection experience and cases
Special attention was paid to building a constructive dialogue between representatives of government agencies and businesses, which became an important step towards improving the effectiveness of law enforcement practice in the region.
The seminar became not only a platform for the exchange of experience, but also an important event in the development of a culture of intellectual property protection in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.
